Out with the old, in the with the new: Central Phoenix’s Burger Factory, a fast-food staple that flourished in Phoenix for over twenty years, closed its doors last month. According to AZCentral, the restaurant space, complete with drive-thru, will be home to a SoCal teahouse, 7 Leaves Café.

In 2011, 7 Leaves Café started as a mere 1,100 square-foot store front in the heart of Orange County’s Little Saigon. Today, 7 Leaves has expanded across Orange County and beyond California. With shops opening in Nevada and Texas, it only makes sense that AZ would follow. The company’s website notes, “as we continue to spread our culture of care, we are constantly reminded and guided of our mission: ‘To enrich and embrace the human experience through our commitment to serve the very best coffee, tea, and goodness in every cup, in every community.’ ”

Not only can you find drinks like Jasmine Milk Tea, Japanese Matcha Soy Tea, and Vietnamese Coffee, the café also sells handmade macarons that are baked in-house. Earl Grey, Sea Salt Caramel, and Rose Water are just a few of the menu’s offerings.

AZCentral reports 7 Leaves has plans to renovate Burger Factory’s old brick-and-mortar and keep the drive-thru. Be on the lookout for a second 7 Leaves Valley location in Mesa.
