Our source suggests that a 1,309 square-foot restaurant space in the building will need to undergo a partial build-out to support dine-in services. Representatives for the company have confirmed that this is likely one of two Buffalo Wild Wings ‘GO’ locations planned for Mesa, which explains the smaller floor plan.

“We are thrilled to introduce the new takeout and delivery focused ‘GO’ model in Mesa, Arizona. Buffalo Wild Wings ‘GO’ is the perfect spot for wing-lovers featuring a curated menu of tenders, wings, fries, and all our famous sauces and seasonings. We look forward to joining the community this spring,” the company tells What Now Phoenix.

Buffalo Wild Wings was founded in 1982 by friends Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery, who conceptualized their restaurant after noticing a lack of proper Buffalo-style wings in their area. The first restaurant was opened near Ohio State University and was originally called Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck, because they also served beef on weck sandwiches.

With no restaurant experience, the pair haphazardly ran their operation with much success, adding six new locations throughout Ohio, Indiana, and Colorado throughout the ‘80s. By 1992, they started franchising the business.

There are now over a thousand Buffalo Wild Wings locations across the country, ten of which are located in the Valley. Today, they are known for serving their wings with over a dozen sauce options, plus appetizers, burgers, tacos, salads, and more, not to mention a full bar with plenty of television screens to watch your favorite team.
