In addition to the various tenants that have already been announced for the greater Cannon Beach development currently under construction at 6874 E Warner Rd in Mesa, there will also be a “comprehensive [food and beverage] program” for the anchor tenant, Revel Surf, according to COO, Adam Saks.

“Cannon Beach is the entire 38-acre development, Revel Surf is the surf park,” Saks tells What Now Phoenix. “We will be operating the surf park and operating the food and beverage within the surf park. The outlying buildings – and we have an entire restaurant row – that will all be tenancy,” including a diverse lineup of names such as Moku Hawaiian Grill, Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade, a Korean barbecue concept, a nail salon, indoor playground concept KTR, and more.

As for Revel Surf specifically, however, “Our food & beverage program will be what you would expect from any first-class, four-star resort hospitality program,” says Saks. “Day one, we’re going to be excited to be welcoming our guests in and making sure that they can enjoy craft food and cocktails and beers and all the things you’d come to expect from a quality destination.”

What’s more, despite the fact that Cannon Beach is still a little less than a year out from opening, master developer and president Cole Cannon is already eyeing two other territories for further expansion.

“Currently, we’re looking in Glendale and in Scottsdale,” says Saks before clarifying, “I wouldn’t even say Glendale – I’d say West Valley is appropriate to the interest level. And then certainly a Scottsdale location is something else that we’re looking at.”

In a recent interview with the Phoenix Business Journal, Cannon explained, “I have six kids under the age of 11 and felt there was something missing in the East Valley, entertainment-wise,” adding, “So maybe selfishly, I developed the park for my family, thinking that the rest of the similarly situated families in the neighborhood surrounding the park would also enjoy this amenity.”
