The company, founded and run by Celebrity Chef Nik Fields, opened just a few months ago for the marketplace at 2302 North Central Avenue.

What Now Phoenix reached out to Fields on Monday, who confirmed that the restaurant was moving into its final stages of construction.

“We’re hoping to finish in about 30 days,” she says. “In addition to that, we’re going to add a cooking school, which I’m really excited about.”

On the restaurant side of things, Fields aims for Chic Chef to be known for simple ingredients, fantastic flavors, and exceptional presentation. “All of that is important because a lot of people tend to overdo it. Chic Chef is going to be classy, sophisticated, and elegant.”

In addition, the restaurant will also offer daily live music and have a rotation of themed dinner parties.

“It’s going to be so fun,” says Fields. “Plus, the restaurant, marketplace, and school are all in the same location but different units, so that makes it all easier, too.”

The market, located in #2, is open Tuesday-Saturday from 12-7 pm. The school in #3 will start serving classes in September, and the restaurant will open in #5 just as soon as it’s ready.
