There’s a reason that SodaRush cookies have been consistently voted the Best Cookies in the Valley by Phoenix Magazine for the past six years. These scratch-made giant gourmet cookies are the stuff of a sweet tooth’s dream; from classic Sugar Smash and Chocolate Chip, to new flavors that “Rushers” look forward to every month.
You can find these cookies at any three SodaRush locations in the Valley but soon, you’ll be able to visit the first official CookieRush by SodaRush store in Chandler. It is currently under construction at 4960 S. Gilbert Road on the northwest corner with Chandler Heights Road.
CookieRush is brought to us by SodaRush’s newest franchisees, Amy and Justin Sutherland, both Chandler natives and the proud parents of four behind @twothentwins on Instagram. Amy told What Now Phoenix this week that their fingers are crossed to open by the end of this year, or by January 2023 at the latest, if all goes according to plan with construction and permitting.
“Building this space together, our babies growing up behind the register, and having the opportunity to play a small part in your special family moments are just the tippy top of a very long list of things we are looking forward to,” Amy writes in an announcement. The Sutherlands will be working with SodaRush founders Jim and Amber Johanson, the husband-and-wife team who created the local Arizona brand selling blended sodas, cookies, ice cream and more.
Part of the brand’s recently announced nationwide franchising opportunities, CookieRush will feature the same offerings as traditional SodaRush stores, but will differ in terms of the customer-facing branding and image.
