Elevated will move into a 3,617 square-foot space at 5813 N. 7th St. at the Crown on 7th shopping center. Co-owner Hunter Wood tells What Now Phoenix that he hopes to open in April and it looks like he is on track to open at that time, based on an interim liquor license recently issued by the state of Arizona.

Elevated Seltzer was founded by Hunter and his brother Warren, who are no strangers to the craft beer industry. They grew up around their family’s brewery, Grand Lake Brewing Company, working there in some capacity throughout the years until its closing in 2019.

At that point, the Wood brothers decided to start their own brand and were inspired by the burgeoning trend of hard seltzer. After researching how it was made, they got to work putting their ideas into offerings such as Vanilla Lychee, Acai, and Limoncello.

They also use their seltzers to make cocktails with a unique twist, such as New Fashioned (Greenbar Bourbon, Bitters, Orange Zest, and Cherry Lime Seltzer) and Paloma Broke My Heart (Lime Juice, Simple syrup, Greenbar Tequila, Mint & Grapefruit Seltzer).

Elevated Seltzer’s Phoenix taproom will feature these cocktails and more, including their seltzers on tap, a few house drafts, plus a full kitchen. Their food menu is currently being created to cater to Arizona appetites, while the space will be fashioned into a more modern, brand-forward iteration of their current space in Colorado.

“The weather was a huge factor in our decision to move into Phoenix,” Hunter said. “Our hard seltzers are a perfect refreshment for year-round warm weather. Not to mention, the Phoenix market is booming and it would be great to be a part of their growing culinary scene.”
