It has long been known that Harumi Sushi & Sake is planning a Peoria location as part of ongoing developments for Sunrise Promenade. Voted Arizona’s Best Sushi, Harumi will be at 24681 N. Lake Pleasant Parkway.
But while an opening was announced for Spring of 2021 and then pushed back to late Fall, excited customers of Upper West Side Phoenix have yet to sink their teeth into Harumi’s fresh fish and forbidden rice. As of this posting, Suite 101 has signage and looks like it’s finished, but many are still waiting for the doors to actually open.
Chef Y. Choi tells What Now Phoenix that Harumi’s Peoria location will open “pretty soon,” and when pressed for further clarification it seemed like that meant early 2022. He confirmed that finishing touches are still being worked out, which is why no official announcement has been made yet.
Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for Harumi to finally welcome Peoria customers. Until then, stay tuned to their website and social media for updates.
