For years, co-owners Kim and Chris Glass have been bringing seafood delicacies to Gilbert’s East Valley in the form of High Tide Seafood Bar and Grill. Together with Executive Chef Eric Emlet, the owners have created a ‘unique seafood gem,’ with fresh seafood is brought in daily. The eatery specializes in steam kettle cooking, and patrons can even partake in a fresh oyster bar, not to mention an array of craft beer selections, specialty cocktails, and wines by glass or bottle.

“Chef Eric truly has created a menu with every customer in mind. Whether you love oysters, love burgers, have dietary restrictions, or just want a great cocktail you can’t find anywhere else, High Tide is sure to accommodate,” says the eatery’s Facebook page.

And the good news for the seafood foodies of AZ? High Tide is opening a second location. The eatery has been sharing construction updates across its social media channels, including a post just last month that read, “Getting work done at High Tide’s second location!”

Wondering what you can expect at this new location?

In addition to High Tide’s old favorites, Kim Glass says the Chandler location will have a slightly expanded menu. The Chandler spot will have a new sushi bar in addition to its raw bar, as well as an expanded wine list. “We’re excited to have a wine cellar to display all our wines,” says Glass.

The restaurant hoped to be open already, but due to the pandemic, has had to push things back a bit. If everything goes as planned from here on out, the new Chandler location is looking at a late summer, early fall 2021 opening.

“We’re very excited to be expanding down there, and look forward to being in South Chandler,” Glass added.

Just ate at High Tide Steel Yard. Excellent service and great food! Love the openness to this new restaurant. A little different menu from the Gilbert site but plenty of wonderful choices!!!!
