In-N-Out Burger has proposed a new location at The Shops at Lake Pleasant, a new 26-acre retail center being developed at Happy Valley Road and Lake Pleasant Parkway. What Now Phoenix has obtained a “Design Review” in Peoria public records that indicate In-N-Out will take over a pad space at 25210 N. Lake Pleasant Parkway.
What Now Phoenix reached out to representatives for In-N-Out, who remained tight-lipped about a possible new location. “We do hope to open a new restaurant in Peoria sometime in the future. We’re currently in the development application process, so it’s still too early to say when, or even if, we’ll be able to open a restaurant there. We’re excited about the prospect of opening a second location in Peoria, and we appreciate our customers who have shared their anticipation with us, as well,” said Mike Abbate, Assistant Vice President of Real Estate and Development for In-N-Out.
Regardless of whether or not this new location comes to fruition, it’s not like In-N-Out is any stranger to the Valley. The popular Southern California burger chain opened its first store in Arizona at Lake Havasu City in 2000 and has expanded throughout the state ever since.
Now, there are more than 20 In-N-Out stores in the Valley alone, including one already in Peoria on Bell Road. That said, Peoria and much of Upper West Side Phoenix have been seeing a lot of new businesses crop up, as locals advocate to bring more commerce to their corner of the Valley.
