Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls is coming soon to Arizona! The fast-casual restaurant chain has just received an interim liquor license for their address at 15257 N. Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale Quarter. Soon, lobster lovers of the Valley will be able to nosh on these fresh, meaty seafood sandwiches.
Andrea Clinton, who co-owns this franchise location with her husband Chad Dodd, tells What Now Phoenix that their grand opening is scheduled for April 14. At the moment the team is hard at work fine-tuning every last detail of their new restaurant in anticipation of their opening next month.
Restaurant veteran Dan Beck founded Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls in Annapolis, Maryland in 2014. His past experience as a seafood buyer in the restaurant industry connected him to the lobstermen of Maine.
Inspired by their centuries-old traditions and the ways of Maine’s waters, Beck wanted to pay homage to that world with every lobster roll that came out of his restaurant. That’s why Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls sticks to the basics in their recipes, serving authentic Maine lobster rolls with just lemon, butter, and mayo.
Deciding to franchise with Mason’s was a no-brainer for Clinton and Dodd. “Chad grew up in Maine is always craving Lobster rolls, which are hard to find in this area,” Clinton says.
“A pandemic trip to Maine grew this urge and desire to bring simply prepared authentic lobster rolls to Arizona. When we met Dan and team at Masons, we loved the concept and were blown away by the food which is made with sustainably sourced Maine lobster, straight from the waters of Maine!”
