In only a few short months, you could find yourself enjoying one of the exquisite authentic Taiwanese sweet treats Meet Fresh is bringing to the 99 Ranch Market shopping center, previously known as the Andersen Fiesta Shopping Center, in Chandler. The market space, recently renovated, reopens this month as the Taiwanese-American supermarket chain; Meet Fresh will soon follow.

Meet Fresh’s story began with Sister and Brother Fu, who grew up in a family that has been farming for generations in the Feng Yuan District of Taichung, Taiwan. There, using traditional methods, they began crafting delicate desserts with herbal jelly and soft taro balls.

Established in 2007, Meet Fresh insists on using only high-quality ingredients, while combining traditional and modern tastes, in order to bring Taiwanese desserts to the world. Today, the company maintains a commitment to serving healthy desserts, made fresh and without preservatives.

The Taro Ball is one of Meet Fresh’s specialty desserts. And there are a few few variations to try, including the Icy Taro Ball #1 with mung beans, barely, boba, taro balls, and shaved ice. If you prefer desserts hot, Meet Fresh also offers the Hot Taro Ball #3, which includes red beans, peanuts, boba, and taro balls in a red bean soup. In addition, Meet Fresh specializes in Fresh Milk Teas, Tofu Pudding, and Purple Rice Dessert.

Inside the 99 Ranch Market, located at 1900 W Chandler Blvd, you’ll find all the market has to offer, as well as a Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, Meet Fresh, and more. The restaurants inside the market are due to open by the end of the year.

I expect Meet Fresh’s newest desert, a Black Sugar Boba Milk Shaved Ice, will provide much needed relief on one of Chandler’s scorching days.
