The company was recently approved for a liquor license at a vacant site that was intended to be a Santos Tacos. While the brewery offers its beers at multiple vendors throughout Mexico and in Tucson, this will be the company’s first U.S. taproom. All of Buqui Bichi Brewery’s current taprooms are found throughout Mexico in Kino, Navarrete, Hidalgo Market 69, Morelos, and Culiacan. There is no exact opening date, but owner Luis Osuna will likely make its Arizona debut later this year.

All of Buqui Bichi Brewing are brewed in the Sonora Desert. The company currently offers a variety of six beers, including two IPAs. Other beers found in Buqui Bichi include an amber ale called Chucata, a coffee stout called Talega, and an American Wheat Ale called Buena Bola. Those wanting to try the beers without ordering can find them at several bars and liquor stores in Arizona.

When this potentially new taproom opens later this year, it will sit next to Jersey Mike’s Subs in a conjoined building. Buqui Bichi expects to serve all of its beers here in a comfortable barroom setting. The company strongly believes that a taproom should be a “space for lovers of good beer,” according to the company’s website. They call it a sacred place where camaraderie and a relaxed atmosphere gather urban tribes who enjoy experiencing unique flavors.
