The company’s newest location is set to sit on the ground floor of a new three-story development proposed by Scottsdale-based Aline Architecture Concepts, according to Phoenix Business Journal. While Paris Baguette will be found at the base of this building, plans show the second floor would be used for overflow seating with a balcony and back-of-house space for the company. The top floor of the building will be used for single, three-bedroom residential units.

“Basically, [we’re] kind of taking that same model of ground floor retail, second-floor kind of office/retail, and then third-floor residence,” Brian Krob, principal of Aline, tells the Business Journal. “They are bringing Paris Baguette to this particular location, franchising it, and kind of basically crafting the building.”

The new location proves impressive for the company, as Paris Baguette first opened in the Valley in 2020. In the following years, the company would establish Phoenix as a growth market for corporate-owned and franchised locations, hoping to eventually open up to 20 locations. Since then, Paris Baguette has opened a new location in North Scottsdale and is currently working on a location in Uptown Phoenix along Central Avenue. The latter will be operated by franchisees Sam Yoon and Thomas Park, who hope to open eight more locations in Paris Baguette over the next three to five years.

A new pair of franchise owners will run the new Old Town Scottsdale location. A representative from the company tells What Now Phoenix that franchisees Nima Afzalian and Setareh Nasery Manesh will own the new location. It’s unclear when the husband-and-wife team plans to open this new Paris Baguette or if they will open more sites following this one. While Aline submitted a project proposal to the city of Scottsdale earlier this month, the city’s development review board has not been set for the hearing, and a general contractor has yet to be selected. If approved, the existing building will be demolished.
