Piefection, a local pie shop from Mesa with a second store in Scottsdale, is soon to open their third location in Chandler. The shop is currently under construction at 2100 W. Chandler Blvd. in The Boulevard shopping center off Dobson Road.
“This is a very convenient location for folks who live around the Chandler/Gilbert/Ahwatukee area. We’re excited to have customers come see us without having to make the 30 minute drive up to our other two stores,” owner Cheryl Standage told What Now Phoenix via phone call this week.
Standage says that many people have already spotted the parked trailer they have outside the new location and have been excited about its opening. She anticipates welcoming loyal and new customers alike by November of this year at the latest.
Until then, locals don’t have to wait too long or drive too far to satisfy their pie cravings. Standage says that starting July 1st, they will begin serving pies next door, out of Blackbird Music Center.
By that time, Piefection will start serving their July pie of the month, Raspberry Key Lime, a delectably refreshing combination of their traditional key lime filling with a fresh raspberry swirl and homemade whipped cream topping, held together in a graham crust. Standage says that during the summer, customers veer towards their citrus flavors like Key Lime and Arizona Orange, which is made with sour oranges that are grown and pressed locally in Mesa.
Piefection prides itself on serving the highest-quality pies and cheesecakes in the Valley, making everything from scratch and baking it all fresh every day. They also don’t cut corners when it comes to high-quality ingredients, importing chocolate from Belgium and sourcing fruit from states where they’re most popular, such as Maine wild blueberries, Georgia peaches, and so on.
