The first location opened back in 2010, with Erikson and Hansen both growing up on Nebraska farms before relocating to Arizona in 2001.
Earlier this year, Erikson told KTAR News, “We’re really excited to continue the expansion of our brand and move into the East Valley. This is an entirely new market for us and a big opportunity for us to grow. We can’t wait to welcome this new demographic of BBQ lovers.”
The restaurant, which currently operates out of 1515 W Deer Valley Road in Phoenix, also operates as a traveling food truck. Catering options are available for those who are interested, as well.
According to the website, the company “smokes our BBQ slow; the big meats are smoked no less than 15 hours.” From there, they “rub our barbecue with a secret recipe that will make your mouth salivate with every bite.”
As of now, no official opening date has been set for the Chandler location. Although it was supposed to open in May, a recent Facebook posts indicates that November 2021 is the current slotted time. What Now Phoenix reached out to Hansen on Tuesday, but he was unavailable by phone.
