According to a newly issued interim liquor permit found in state public records, a new restaurant called Society by EVO is coming to 920 E. University Drive in Tempe. The business will take over the former GuacStar Kitchen & Cantina at the Cornerstone shopping mall by ASU.
As evidenced by the name, the restaurant comes from Old Town Scottsdale Italian restaurant, EVO. Whether Society will be a condensed version of EVO, or a new concept entirely, is unclear. What Now Phoenix reached out to the owner, who wasn’t able to give a comment at the time.
