Someburros, who’s just about to open their 12th location in Mesa, is already working on location number 13 at the Northwest corner of Estrella Parkway and Hudson Street, but does not yet have an actual address.
“We should be breaking ground on it this week,” said owner Tim Vasquez when he spoke to What Now Phoenix on Wednesday.
On the idea of expansion, he said, “I’ve always been adamant that we would not continue growing if it would sacrifice our food and service. We’re very careful that we’re not going to take another step until we’re confident about our current locations. We feel good about that now. We have a really good company culture and a really great team in place, so now that we have that, we’re carrying forward with our expansion.”
This will be the Mexican fast-casual’s first foray out into West Valley, but they’re already in talks for another location in Peoria.
“We’re really excited to become apart of that community and immerse ourselves there. We want to get involved with schools and teachers and just give back to the community. That’s how we like to do business.”
The company holds events like Teacher Appreciation Day where they feed the local teachers as a thank you for what they do. Their website also has a separate fundraising section for those interested in holding a fundraiser for themselves.
Vasquez noted they are shooting for Spring 2022 opening.
