Uptown Phoenix is about to get a new watering hole. According to recent ABC applications found in state public records, a business called The Joy Lush Club has applied as a “Beer and Wine Bar” for a license to serve alcoholic beverages at 24 W. Camelback Road in the former Bonus Round “nerd bar” at Camel Central Plaza.
The owner of The Joy Lush Club was unable to give a comment when contacted by What Now Phoenix this week. They also confirmed that no website or social media accounts have been set up at this time, which suggests to us that we’ve likely caught wind of this project very early on in its planning stages.
That said, we’ll be keeping an eye on the activity at this address and update you all when we get more information. Based on the name alone, we suspect that The Joy Lush Club ought to have an interesting concept in store (or at least a good backstory for the name).
