When it comes to sports bars in Chandler, one of the best hangouts to find yourself in was Third Base Restaurant. Although the establishment closed last summer, they never intended to be gone for long. Returning as Third Base Bar, they are now located at 4910 W. Ray Road.
Third Base Bar secured their new spot on the northeast corner of Ray and Rural back in August and ever since, they’ve been hard at work getting everything in order to bring back one of Chandler’s favorite neighborhood bars. Nearly everything is in place at this point and they have just received approval from the city to get their signs installed.
In a phone call with What Now Phoenix, owner Destiny Myers says that although they are still adding the finishing touches to the space, they have begun a soft opening today. Over the next couple weeks, they will be open at night serving drinks only.
After their grand reopening, they will begin serving their classic bar eats and open up for lunch. With this new location, Myers notes that they are headed towards more of a sports bar feel, so it’s the perfect spot to catch Suns games and the Final Four, plus the Cardinals when football returns (and hopefully the Diamondbacks too, if the MLB ever sorts things out).
