Just this year Trapper’s Sushi Co. opened its very first Arizona location in Avondale. The expansion marked the restaurant’s first growth outside of its home state of Washington.

At the time, owner and CEO Trapper O’Keeffe, who learned the art of sushi from his brother-in-law Eisuke Sato, said, “I am super excited to share my brand with Avondale. I have been in business for over 16 years and have grown to 11 Trapper’s Sushi locations and another burger concept. I have always thought that AZ would be a great place to expand and create opportunities for employees.” The location sought to fill a minimum of 45 jobs and offered ample indoor and outdoor dining space for guests.

Now it appears Trapper’s is thinking about growing in the AZ community. According to Jared Cauffield’s The Active Tenant List, Issue 19, Trapper’s Sushi Co. is seeking sites in the Phoenix area. The company is on the lookout for a 3,000 to 4,000 square foot second generation restaurant space, preferably in a high profile neighborhood. According to the list, Trapper’s is seeking a site immediately.

We were unable to reach O’Keeffe to learn more about his Phoenix goals, so you’ll want to follow their AZ Facebook page for updates.
