Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar was co-founded by Honolulu-born and raised Raymond Reyes and wife Fen Reyes, who serve as COO and CEO, respectively. Raymond recently signed 37 contracts to expand the Uncle Sharkii brand across six states including Arizona, California, Texas, Utah, Hawaii, and Nevada.

As COO, Raymond draws on over a decade of International Trade, Customs and Federal Law Enforcement experience that has lent itself to his navigation of expanding nationally and internationally. Stepping down from his government job in 2019 to pursue his dream of owning a business, Raymond has created a poke brand that stands out as one of the few to be curated by a local Hawaiian.

“Growing up in Hawaii was simple, but it helped form the Local Boy Entrepreneur that [I am] today,” Raymond says in a press release. Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar is known for serving Signature Hawaiian™ Poke Bowls made with few simple ingredients that remain true to the essence of real Hawaiian poke.

The menu also includes eight Boba Milk Tea drinks and four flavors of authentic Dole Soft Serve®. “Growing up throughout my youth I have fond memories of going to the Dole Plantation to have a Pineapple Soft Serve treat on the weekend,” Raymond says.

Equally important to their fresh, healthy food and beverage offerings, is Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar’s values. Their concept of Ohana means that every customer is welcomed into the store and treated like family. Raymond adds, “I have lots of family in Hawaii and I literally grew up with the local Hawaiian values which include Family, respecting the land, and just enjoying life in paradise.”
