Westside Concepts, the Peoria-based hospitality management firm, recently signed a lease for the currently under construction Goodyear Civic Square (GSQ) – the city’s premier lifestyle hub complete with a new library, city hall, and more – located at 1900 N Civic Sq, and due to open winter 2023, according to a recent article in the Phoenix Business Journal.

The restaurant is yet to be named, however, it’s being billed as a “boozy brunch” joint, with Jenna Oxford, director of events and marketing for Westside Concepts telling the Business Journal that the concept “will feature twists on classic dishes, cocktails, and ‘Instagram-worthy’ drinks and eats.”

A representative of Westside Concepts could not immediately be reached for comment.

Westside Concepts first sprang onto the Peoria dining scene in 2013 when Joey Lucidi opened his flagship brand, the American comfort food eatery Haymaker. Since then, Lucidi and the team have opened seven locations including a second Haymaker, as well as NW Coffee, the Mexican-inspired Cantina Gueros, the historic fire station-turned-events center aptly named Fire House Events Center, and Westside Catering, which brings each F&B brand under one roof.

And although “the concepts are all very different,” Westside Concepts writes on its website, “the goal is the same: to be your neighborhood bar or restaurant where you can feel great about bringing family and friends for any and all occasions.”
