Just from the concept of their new tap room, Wicked Rain, you can tell co-owners Tony and Catherine Newman have a deep love for the Pacific Northwest and good beer. Wicked Rain is a craft brew spot with plans to open on Baseline Road in Gilbert, AZ.

The co-owners recently signed a lease for a roughly 3,000 square foot retail space on the first floor in the Red Mountain/Mesa Submarket. Wicked Rain should take over the space in September 2021.

According to their website, Wicked Rain will be bringing “the best of the northwestern coast to your table” with a selection of rotating drafts from more than 30 breweries. This new taproom aims to “serve as a home for other fans of PNW culture, sports, and suds.”

While we were unable to confirm an opening date for the tap room, as the Newmans were unavailable for comment, you can sign up for a VIP invite to the grand opening on their website, and, as always, check back with What Now Phoenix.
