A new seafood restaurant is coming to Tempe. Look out for Zu & Pocha at 1212 E. Apache Blvd. off Terrace Road. The concept is the latest offering from Chef June Kang’s New Culinary Concepts, which has also blessed the Tempe area with Bei, Zu Izakaya, and Junn All You Can Eat Sushi.

Zu & Pocha is “a modern seafood eatery & drinkery with a touch of Korean flavor,” according to its website. To eat, expect items like Crab Fried Rice (carrots, peas, edamame, sesame, scallions, lump crab, egg, lemon) and Pollack Pasta (squid ink pasta, creamy pollack roe sauce, nori, chives).

The bar will be serving up sojus, beers, wines, and signature cocktails such as Seoul Iced Tea (boricha tea, boricha simple syrup, rosemary, Hwayo 41 soju) and Soju Fruit Bar (seasonal fruit bar, soju, lime, Topo Chico). Zu & Pocha will also feature a Raw Bar with oysters, sashimi, crab, shrimp aguachile, and more.

We’ve previously reported that Zu & Pocha was set to debut late last year, but that obviously has not happened. Instead, the opening has been moved to Sunday, May 1, according to Google. Kang could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.
