Earlier this year, Sandbar’s parent company, Evening Entertainment Group, closed the last remaining Sandbar to rebrand it into a new concept. Now it appears the company has changed its plans and will transform the space into a second Arizona location of Backyard, offering delicious bar food in an indoor-outdoor space featuring live music, yard games, a dog-friendly patio, massive TVs, and a live DJ at night, according to Phoenix New Times. The new location is expected to open in the first week of September.

This isn’t the first time Evening Entertainment Group has rebranded Sandbar Mexican Grill into Backyard, as the company first introduced the new concept to Arizona in March after the Desert Ridge location closed. Sandbar also had locations in Chandler and Paradise Valley. Now they’ve all closed, and Evening Entertainment Group is doubling down with Backyard, which also has locations in Fort Worth and Dallas. Other brands in EEG’s portfolio include Bottled Blonde, Casa Amigos, Chaunct Social, Hi-Fi Kitchen + Cocktails, RnR Gastropub, and the upcoming Mother Tucker’s Tavern.

“It’s thrilling to introduce the latest iteration of our popular Backyard concept to the Gilbert community,” Evening Entertainment Group co-owner Les Corieri said in a release. “We’ve enjoyed many years with Sandbar, but it’s time to elevate the experience, and Backyard Gilbert does just that with exceptional food, drink, sports, and entertainment.”
