Bonfire Craft Kitchen & Tap House is coming soon to Tempe, Mouth by Southwest reported first. After two successful debut years at Surprise, this family-friendly restaurant and sports bar is gearing up for its second location at 1617 W. Warner Road off I-10, in the former Tilted Kilt.
Owner Dave Lindsley tells What Now Phoenix that they are excited to bring their elevated American grill to Tempe, adding that they are planning to open in Spring 2022. We can expect the same delicious menu that fuses Lindsley’s midwestern roots with southwestern flare. Think American classics taken to the next level with green chilies, jalapeños, and tomatillo.
Bonfire is known for their barbecue-smoked meats, flame-broiled burgers, and wood-fired pizzas, including their house-specialty, “Monsoon.” This nationally recognized pie is topped with secret yellow sunrise sauce, chicken, bacon, jalapeño, tomato, banana peppers and a ranch drizzle.
The restaurant is also known for their table-made s’mores on hibachi grills, which is a real hit with the kids. That being said, Bonfire Craft Kitchen & Tap House has a little something for everyone and the second location will be no exception.
Lindsley notes that the new Tempe location’s 10,000 square-feet can hold a capacity of 4,000 people. With all this extra room, he is really looking forward to debuting a 2,500 square-foot game room with billiards, darts, ski ball, and the first automated beer pong table in America.
At their current location in Surprise, they host regular trivia nights, bingo, live music, and their own version of Family Feud. This nightly entertainment will be duplicated in Tempe and with the brand-new game room, Bonfire’s reputation as a super fun place will be updated to a certified blast.
