Owned by franchisees Emmanuel Sanchez, Miguel Castellanos, and Nancy Castellanos, this California-originated cafe will be the first location based in Arizona.

Started in 2014, Café 86 has become known for their ube drinks, lattes, pastries, specials, and shakes. The business was started by Ginger and James Dimapasok, who seek to celebrate the culture of the Philippines and share it with the world. According to their website, it all began from this mission: “to bring the unique essence of Ube to everyone we serve.”

Menu items include Banana Langka Cups, Chocolate Fudge Cupcake with Milo Whipped Cream, Ube Leche Flan Cupcakes, Ube Truffles, Ube Tres Leches, Halo Halo Bread Pudding, and Ube Pop Tart.

The company is also rooted in their commitment to giving back to their community, and partner with local artists and host cultural events to showcase art, music, dance, and more in the neighborhoods they service.

The franchisees did not immediately reply for comment to What Now Phoenix, and an opening date has not been shared yet.
