The company’s fifth Phoenix location is set to open in the Fulton Ranch Towne Center, replacing Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill, which closed in 2022. CAVA is looking for managerial roles for this location, but the exact opening date is unknown. When the new location opens, it will be the first time the company has opened a new site this year. CAVA opened its fourth Arizona location last August on the northeast corner of Rural and University in Tempe.

Founders Ike Grigoropoulos, Chef Dimitri Moshovitis, and Ted Xenohristos have known each other since they were six and opened CAVA in 2010 to share the food they loved in an accessible, fast-casual format. Since then, the trio has expanded to several locations nationwide, offering delicious and healthful Mediterranean-inspired meals made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. In Arizona, CAVA has locations in Arcadia, Camelback, North Scottsdale, and, most recently, Tempe.

“We open dozens of new restaurants each year, and as we do, we open our doors one day early to feed lunch and dinner to anyone in the community, free of charge,” according to the company’s website. “We’re eager to meet our neighbors and welcome all to share a meal with us! During Community Days, we also partner with and sponsor a local nonprofit. We believe in serving delicious food that helps more people eat well and live well. Taking care of the people and things that feed us: the earth, farmers, purveyors, and team members.”
