The company’s eighth Valley location is set to replace CoreLife Eatery in the Fry’s Marketplace-anchored shopping center. Franchise owner Dorian Lenz confirms with What Now Phoenix that he will open this location in Summer 2024 on the southeast corner of Higley and Baseline. Cheba Hut does not add any cannabis products to its food. Despite this, the menu is full of nods to the cannabis world, such as sandwich size options, including nug (4 inches), pinner (6 inches), and blunt (12 inches).

When the new Cheba Hut opens later this year, customers can expect a variety of toasted subs, including chicken and turkey, veggie options, and plenty of meat options. Aside from sandwiches, the restaurant also offers snacks, called munchies, such as garlic cheesy bread, pretzel nuggets, Bowl O’ Balls, and Loaded Not’chos, and desserts, known as treats, including brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and Rice Krispie bars. To drink, the restaurant offers “cottonmouth cures” and a full bar.

“Cheba Hut is a “Toasted” sub concept that has been curing munchies since its start in 1998,” according to the company’s website. “Founder Scott Jennings decided to showcase the harmony between great-tasting food and … well, a very specific counter-culture. Our Huts not only tout the best bread in the business, but our foodies “Flip the Bird” to the establishment with our homegrown food, our relaxed environment and our amazing employees; who actually enjoy rollin in our joint.”
