One of the fastest-growing concepts in its industry is getting ready to expand within Arizona via a restaurant industry veteran, according to a recent press release. Cory Dugan, who has spent 30 years with Brinker International, has signed an agreement with the company to develop two new franchise locations in the Scottsdale area. Site selection is underway, with plans for the first venue to open later this year. Clean Eatz, which launched in 2011 and started franchising in 2015, was co-founded by husband-and-wife duo Don and Evonne Varady

“When my family and I decided to move back to Arizona, I had planned on that being the end of my time in the service industry,” according to a press release. “But that was before we were introduced to Clean Eatz,” Dugan said in a press release. “We’d buy dozens of their meal kits at a time and quickly became familiar with their culture and commitment to helping customers on their individual health journeys. I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of.”

The restaurant was founded as a way of helping individuals and families change their lives by providing them with better nutrition options. When these locations open later this year, customers can expect options for dine-in, grab-n-go, catering, marketplace, and weekly online meal plan selections. Some items included in the cafe menu include burgers, wraps, flatbreads, smoothies, bowls, and more.

“This latest deal comes on the heels of an additional 2-unit deal that was recently secured in the Glendale area,” Varady said in the press release. She hopes to build on these numbers in the near future, given Phoenix’s position as one of the “faster-growing markets in the United States, with a unique appeal to wellness fanatics and major brands within the sector.”

How about telling us where it was founded, how many other stores they have, what the food concept is (how are “burgers” “Clean Eatz?”) etc?
