Morning Squeeze, the breakfast and lunch spot with three Valley locations, announces the opening of a sister concept in Tempe. The Counter by Morning Squeeze (1725 W. University Dr.) is serving up traditional breakfast and lunch favorites in a casual diner setting along the commercial office row of Tempe’s University Drive.
Housed inside Morning Squeeze’s new catering commissary, The Counter takes advantage of the diner setting left behind by the previous occupants. With plenty of parking and easy freeway access, it’s been a convenient staging area for catering orders.
Carlos Reason, Catering Director for Morning Squeeze, says those features also make it a great stop-in for workers, commuters, and even those coming and going to Sky Harbor.
“We’re really excited to adapt the service and quality of food Morning Squeeze is known for in a way that fits the needs of this active part of the Tempe community,” Reason said in a statement. “We’ve already got regular guests that enjoy the comfortable and affordable breakfast and lunch we offer.”
The menu at The Counter focuses on the classics like the Breakfast Sandwich ($11) loaded with two eggs, cheddar cheese and choice of bacon or sausage, Biscuit & Gravy ($7.50) with one house-made biscuit smothered in sausage gravy, the BLT sandwich ($10.50) on sourdough, and Chili Cheese Fries ($9) that smothers a basket of fries in beef chili, cheddar cheese sour cream and onions.
All breakfast and lunch entrées come with a choice of potatoes, fruit, fries or chips. Drip coffee is available all day for $2 and comes with free refills while you dine.
Guests can enjoy fast-casual service for quick meals or longer meet ups. A large community table is available for office outings, and booths make a comfortable remote workspace. Take away orders are also available and can be prepped quickly on-site or ordered by phone for ready-to-go pick up.
The Counter is open Mondays – Fridays from 7 AM – 2 PM. The Counter is located at 1725 W. University Dr, Ste 108, Tempe, AZ.
