The new $450 million casino is currently under construction and is expected to open before the end of the year, according to Indian Gaming. The Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise offered a media tour of the site earlier this week, providing insight into what guests can expect when this new casino opens. On top of having 900 slot machines, 48 table games, high-limit slots, table games, a VIP lounge, and a sportsbook, Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks at San Lucy is set to become a dining hotspot.

When the new hotel opens at the end of the year, it will feature multiple restaurants, including fine dining at Morton’s Steakhouse and a pub-style restaurant called Pub Stop. While Morton’s will have a wine room, both will have indoor and outdoor dining. The casino will also have a five-venue food hall with four restaurant options and a bar. Customers can expect various options, including Deli-ish sandwiches, Taqueria-ville, Spitfire Chicken, and Chucks burgers. There will also be a Starbucks onsite, along with a handful of other food and drink options.

“Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks at San Lucy will be a beautiful, upscale facility that will be an entertainment mecca and economic engine for the fastest growing region in the Valley,” Mike Bean, CEO of the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise, said in a press release. “Our construction team is doing an incredible job keeping us moving forward on an aggressive timescale. We are excited to create more opportunities for the Tohono O’odham Nation and the West Valley.”

The second phase planned at the site will include a 350-room hotel with convention and meeting space, a rooftop bar, a 2,500-seat entertainment venue, and a hotel pool. After the hotel is established, Bean hopes to create an “entertainment district” to complement the casino and neighboring attractions, according to AZ Central.
