The company’s newest location will move into the Plaza at Mountainside shopping center in early June 2024, franchise owner Bill McKusick tells What Now Phoenix. This will be the first food venture McKusick, who has nearly two decades of experience running his own business, including a home health and hospice care facility in Phoenix from 2009 until 2018. Now, he’s getting ready to use his experience in business ownership to grow his Cookie Plug franchise and potentially add more locations in the Valley.

McKusick says he was drawn to franchise with the company because of its old-school hip-hop theme that describes itself as not a “cookie cutter” business. Instead, Cookie Plug “slangs the most unique stacks the streets has to offer,” according to the company’s website, describing the cookies as “Fat, Thicc, and Addicting.” The company offers gift cards and a reward program.

The new Ahwatukee site proves the company is proud to offer some of the most delicious cookies throughout the country. The company’s website lists several new locations coming soon to Phoenix, including a site at 4575 E Cactus Road Suite 135 and in Scottsdale at 2765 N Scottsdale Road Suite 152a. McKusick tells What Now Phoenix that he and his team are slated to open five locations in the East Valley. A deadline for these openings could not be provided at this point.

“Cookie Plug exploded onto the scene. In less than three years, 25 locations are slangin dope cookies that are baked fresh daily, with an experience that is unmatched,” according to the company’s website. “We are not your Crumbl Cookie or your typical milk and cookies company. Our unique stacks are part cookie, part cake, and part brownie. Fresh out of the oven! You know the smell. Created by using only the highest quality ingredients. Dropping a limited edition flavor every month while servin’ up the G.O.A.T cookie, the OG Chocolate Chip, nonstop.”
