Daddy’s Chicken Shack, a hole-in-the-wall fried chicken sandwich shop from Pasadena, California, has just secured a multi-unit development deal with RE/MAX co-founder Dave Liniger. A newly inked regional developer agreement will see Daddy’s Chicken Shack open 20 units split evenly across the Phoenix and Denver markets.

The restaurant was founded in 2018 by entrepreneurial duo Pace Webb and Chris Georgalas. Webb originated the concept for Daddy’s Chicken Shack after her fried chicken sliders became a hit at a celebrity party she catered. Her hand-crafted menu items have garnered a cult-like following in the Los Angeles market, especially her signature chicken sandwich which is brined overnight in buttermilk and double-battered.

“Chris and I have been working tirelessly since founding the brand to maximize its potential, and Dave has been an incredible sounding board. I can’t think of better validation for the brand than to have Dave sign a regional developer deal, and open restaurants that he plans to own and operate in the markets,” Webb said in a press release. She serves as CEO and leads the business with Georgalas, her husband and the president of the company.

“I don’t take any investment lightly, and I’ve done endless due diligence on Daddy’s Chicken Shack. This is a rock-solid brand with a remarkable foundation for expansion,” Liniger adds. He has established Area 15 Franchising, LLC, now part of his private equity investment portfolio Area 15 Ventures, to help drive growth for the brand in these new markets.

Daddy’s Chicken Shack will focus on opening locations throughout the East Valley, including Scottsdale. Liniger, who is the pioneer franchise investor in the brand, is renowned for growing RE/MAX into one of America’s and the world’s preeminent real estate companies.

He is already seeking franchise candidates who have a passion for bringing people together while serving and unforgettable experience with fresh, quality ingredients. On March 18 and 19, Liniger will put Daddy’s Chicken Shack on display at West Coast Franchise Expo in Phoenix.
