The company’s newest location will replace Sweet Tomatoes in the Ahwatukee Foothills Towne Center, next to Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken. The company was recently approved for a new liquor license for the site, and when it requested the permit late last month, records show the business intends to open the restaurant in April 2024. Google lists this location as opening on April 29. While the company has several sites throughout the Valley, this is one of the southernmost in the Phoenix area.

As of last year, First Watch has more than 500 locations in 29 states, including over two dozen in the greater Phoenix area. The reason for the high number of locations in the area dates back to 2014 when First Watch bought The Good Egg and eventually rebranded 18 of The Good Egg restaurants into First Watch restaurants. The company is now getting ready to open another location in the area, hopefully by the end of the month. When it opens, customers can expect various delicious and healthy breakfast and drink options, including premium coffee sourced from Colombia.

“Just as we greet each morning with the sunrise, we welcome each season into the First Watch menu with ingredients and flavors inspired by the position of the sun,” according to the company’s website. “That’s why on our menu, you’ll find vibrant, green California-grown asparagus in April, or the most refreshing Florida watermelon in July, or tender, sweet yellow corn from the midwest in August. We start bright and early each morning, preparing exceptional ingredients to deliver an experience that feels good and tastes even better.”
