A liquor license has been filed for a new restaurant called Arizona Anthem coming to 903 N 2nd Street.
The new restaurant comes by way of Flagship Restaurant Group, who own seven different restaurants, including another Anthem in Texas.
Although What Now Phoenix reached out to COO Anthony Hitchcock for further comment on Friday, he was unavailable to confirm whether the Arizona Anthem would be a sister store to the one in Texas.
If it is, diners can expect Anthony’s same attitude from the other Anthem, wherein “Anthem celebrates the journey taken and the journey still to come,” according to its website.
Should they offer the same menu, or at least the same type of menu, guests can expect Hawaiian-styled food like the Hilo Hawaiian Sandwich with a five spice brisket and bacon on a King’s Hawaiian sweet bun. They may even keep some of the Texas southern flavor with dishes like the Honey Sriracha Chicken and Waffles.
Regardless of whether this is a rehash of an existing restaurant or an entirely new concept, the restaurant itself is covering up to 15,000 square feet of space.
According to the sketch attached to the liquor license application, there will also be around 5,000 square feet of patio space, as well. The sketch also shows two different bars and multiple liquor storage units as well as overlays the ample amount of seating the space will come with.
The liquor license application also states an anticipated completion of construction on August 25. There’s no other official word on when this location might open.
