Frutilandia and Taqueria Factory announced May 3rd as the grand opening date of their newest dual-concept restaurant location in Mesa, Ariz. on Country Club Drive and University Drive. This culinary destination brings together the flavors of Frutilandia’s fruit-based treats and Taqueria Factory’s authentic quesabirrias, tacos, burritos, micheladas, fresh-fruit margaritas, and more under one roof for the first time in Mesa.
In 2006, Frutilandia was locally founded in Mesa by the Garfio Family and has grown into eight locations throughout the Phoenix area. In late 2023, the restaurant group introduced their expansion plans for the new dual-concept locations of Frutilandia and its sister restaurant concept, Taqueria Factory, and opened the first dual location at Arizona Mills in Tempe.

The dual-concept restaurant will debut the first Mesa location for Taqueria Factory. With its taco experience, Taqueria Factory delivers flavors from the streets of Mexico with authenticity, from-scratch recipes and well-sourced, high-quality ingredients.
The all-new joint Frutilandia and Taquera Factory location in Downtown Mesa is co-owned by franchise partners, Edgar and Xóchitl Valdez, and will feature a fast-casual dining room accommodating 140 people, a margarita bar with select tequilas and imported beers, and a private event room for birthday parties, celebrations, and business meetings.
The community is invited to celebrate at Mesa’s first dual-concept location of Frutilandia and Taqueria Factory. The grand opening weekend of Frutilandia and Taqueria Factory on Country Club Drive and University Drive (351 N. Country Club Dr, Mesa, AZ 85201) is from May 3 through 5 and will feature special in-store only promotions including:
- Two free al pastor or chicken tacos and free 20-ounce agua frescas (dine-in only and until supplies last) on May 3rd only from 5 to 8 p.m.
