Founded by the Garfio Family, Frutilandia, a locally-loved favorite for over 18 years, will have authentic Latin and Mexican desserts including the raspados handcrafted with housemade syrups, tropical frozen drinks, aguas frescas, ice cream desserts, and milkshakes. On the other side of the menu, Taqueria Factory will offer a variety from fresh made salsas, guacamoles, quesabirrias, birria ramen, to carne asada, al pastor, and shrimp tacos, and burritos as well as real fruit margaritas, Mexican beers, and micheladas for beverages.

Arizona Mills is the state’s largest indoor, climate-controlled outlet and showcases 185 stores, and now customers can shop at the retail stores and be just a minute away from Frutilandia and Taqueria Factory. As the first Tempe location for both Frutilandia and Taqueria Factory, the restaurant is conveniently near the intersection of I-10 and U.S. 60 and will be just 10 minutes away from Arizona State University campus.

“We are excited to premiere this unique, dual-concept restaurant in the vibrant community of Tempe,” said Frutilandia and Taqueria Factory Co-founder Gamaliel Garfio in a statement. “By combining the best of both worlds with Frutilandia and Taqueria Factory, we aim to provide our guests with an enhanced food and beverage experience in a one-stop location.”

The new Frutilandia and Taqueria Factory dual location at Arizona Mills Mall is co-owned by franchise partners Briana Garfio and Edward Valdez. The restaurant presents a welcoming 3,200 square-foot indoor space with a walk-up counter for dine-in and takeout ordering, a dining room accommodating up to 98 guests, a margarita bar, plus an outdoor dining patio with misters, and a traditional drive-thru for on-the-go ordering.

For the grand opening weekend from January 20th through 21st, the new Frutilandia and Taqueria Factory at Arizona Mills will celebrate with special promotions applicable to the Arizona Mills location only:

  • One free 12-ounce mango or tamarind raspado and two free carne asada or chicken tacos per person from 3 to 7 p.m. or until sold out on January 20th only.
