The privately-owned complex was a vision of Randy J. Miller, the Chairman of Legacy Sports USA, who paired with his son, Chad J. Miller who works as the CEO. Oak View Group was also brought on as an investment company for the $250 million venue.

The Park, which will cover 320 acres, comes with a mixture of softball fields, basketball courts, football fields, volleyball courts, arcades, fitness centers, and a 20,000 square foot sports bar and restaurant as well as food courts.

The sports side of the complex is meant to be an elite competition and training facility for youth sports, according to recent reporting by AZ Big Media. There, Chad said, “As a Valley native, somebody who grew up here, this is a very exciting day for me to bring this concept back to the community that I grew up in.”

The entire complex is meant to create over 1,500 jobs, of which they are currently hiring for the restaurant. Their website has a countdown to the official opening date, set for January 2022. What Now Phoenix reached out to Miller for more information on Thursday, but he was unavailable by phone.
