“It’s with low feelings that we must announce the closing of our beloved Liars Club,” the announcement read. The owners have “sold the project to some great local operators that have some cool plans,” the post says. According to the post, the Liar’s Club owners plan to keep the brand and hope to reopen their bar in another location in the future.

The bar and restaurant concept opened in December 2022 and served a selection of cocktails and Detroit-style pizza. The bar often hosted events and featured DJs. Over the weekend, Liar’s Club held its last DJ night and invited customers to come for a final drink.

The eclectic bar took over the former Downtown Deli space. Liar’s Club collaborated with the creative team behind fellow downtown cocktail bars Baby Boy and Khla, both of which are now closed.
