The company’s 11th location will move into a new retail center that was recently approved by the Queen Creek Town Council, according to the Queen Creek Independent. The new four-lot commercial subdivision on approximately 3.9 acres will be called Spur Cross Plaza. It will consist of six different tenants, including Black Rock Coffee, Gina’s Salon, and Fiiz Drinks. The final plat is the last stage in the subdivision approval process. The restaurant is still months away from opening.

When the new Macayo in Queen Creek opens later this year, customers can expect various delicious Mexican options, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices. The restaurant also offers a large selection of alcoholic drinks, including Macayo favorites such as the prickly pear margarita and the wildberry margarita, and a handful of beer and wine options. The restaurant, owned and operated by Kind Hospitality, also offers catering for any occasion.

“It all started with a passion and commitment for using fresh, quality ingredients in our signature, family recipes,” according to the company’s website. “Today, our founding passion for food and heritage remains the same. For 75 years and counting, we’ve been dedicated to providing guests with our traditional Mexican food, served in a warm, friendly environment. Here, diners are welcome to enjoy a quick meal for lunch or dinner or to gather with friends and loved ones to celebrate a momentous occasion.”

So excited for this Macayo’s in Queen Creek. I remember emailing them 10 years ago BEGGING them to come out here as the Mexican food choices were very slim. I was born and grew up in west Phoenix and remember eating at Macayo’s when it was Woody’s Macayo’s somewhere near 43rd/51st Indian School/Thomas Rd. (I was just a kid then and directions weren’t my thing yet). I can’t wait! Thank you Macayo’s for doing this. I’ll make sure that you’ll at least see me once a week and sometimes twice. 🙂
