A representative of Wingstop did not immediately return a request for comment.

Since its founding in 1994 in Garland, TX, Wingstop has expanded to some 1,500 restaurants in upwards of 10 countries, making good on the company’s mission to “serve the world flavor.”

In fact, flavor is a key ingredient – both literally and metaphorically – in Wingstop’s brand identity, which writes on its website that “We’re not in the wing business. We’re in the flavor business,” adding, “It’s flavor that defines us and has made Wingstop one of the fastest growing brands in the restaurant industry.”

Wingstop’s menu features 13 varieties of sauces that range from the non-spicy Plain, Garlic Parmesan, and Hawaiian, through milder options such as Lemon Pepper and Hickory Smoked BBQ, to the more medium-adjacent Spicy Korean and Louisiana Rb, on up to Mango Habanero, Cajun, and the death-defying Atomic, all of which can be served up as either wings, tenders, or a sandwich.
