“[Salt Tacos Y Tequila] is under construction and will be open by September,” reads a Craigslist Phoenix advertisement from just today.

SanTan Village’s website shares of the soon to open spot, “Salt offers a large variety of handcrafted margaritas, the best modern Mexican cuisine in town, and over 150 different types of tequila.” The retail community also houses eateries like Blue Wasabi Sushi, Bourbon & Bones, and The Keg Steakhouse + Bar.

If you weren’t already in the loop–Salt’s menu features items like the Funky Monkey, a coconut, pineapple drink with Howler Head Whiskey and strawberry puree, and Vampire tacos, shredded barbacoa and consome in a crunchy, cheese corn tortilla. You can even indulge in a Sonoran hotdog.

In addition to the new Gilbert location, Salt’s is headed to Norterra as well. Salt’s SanTan Village location has taken over the space formerly occupied by Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que. Follow the eatery’s social media for continued updates. Or, if you can’t wait, head over to the flagship Glendale location for the real deal.
