Someburros Norterra is inviting the community and Someburros fans to its grand opening celebration on January 27th starting at 9 a.m. This fun-for-all fiesta will include a live mariachi band, enter-to-win raffle contests and an appearance by “Nacho,” Someburros’ burro mascot.

The Vasquez Family founded the Arizona-based Someburros restaurant in 1986 and today, the company is led by the founder’s son, President Tim Vasquez.

“The North Phoenix and Norterra area has been on our wish list for quite some time, and we are thrilled about the location. Our fast-casual, family-friendly authentic Mexican food is going to bring people in the doors, but it’s our dedication to providing a dynamic experience and an inviting atmosphere that will keep them coming back,” said Tim Vasquez, Owner and President of Someburros in a statement. “We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Someburros Norterra and become a key member of this thriving community.”

The Norterra location will feature the same commitment to quality ingredients and outstanding service that has made Someburros a favorite among Arizonans for nearly four decades. With a focus on authentic, fresh Sonoran-style Mexican food, Someburros will highlight their traditional recipes passed down generation after generation by the Vasquez Family. New to this location only, the Someburros drive-thru will open at 7 a.m. to feature breakfast for those on the go in the morning, and regular hours for those dining-in, beginning at 9 a.m. Someburros is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and their made-from-scratch favorites include crispy and soft tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, quesadillas, and of course their signature dish, the Pollo Fundido. As in their namesake, they’re also known for their variety of burro options, from red and green chili beef, to pollo asado, machaca beef, and carne asada. Someburros’ frozen margaritas will be available for both dine-in and to-go.

Located near the I-17 and Black Canyon Highway, the new Norterra location will offer a walk-up counter for dine-in and takeout ordering, dining room service, patio space and to-go ordering with a convenient drive-thru. The interior design will feature modern desert-living decor while the exterior has a Spanish-revival architecture look.

More Someburros locations are on the way in 2024. The next location will be Someburros San Tan Valley, located on Combs and Gantzel Roads, expected to open in early 2024.
