Lovers of tea and lovers of pink are in for a treat in the form of a new teahouse. The Pink Door Teahouse, Lupe Encinas’ latest venture, will call Glendale home. The teahouse was recently approved for a liquor license at 7153 N 59Th avenue.

We were unable to reach Encinas at the time of publication, so perhaps we’re going out on a limb by claiming there will in fact be a pink door. We can say, the teahouse is taking up residence in the Catlin Court Historic District on 59th between W Myrtle and W Palmaire, just two doors down from the Arizona Doll and Toy Museum. It appears The Pink Door Teahouse will take over the space formerly occupied by Kimberly Ann’s Tea Room & Café, which closed last year after 26 years of service.

In addition to the teahouse, Encinas owns and operates Goodies Glass Inc., a vehicle glass replacement service that she and her family established in 2004.
