When it comes to taprooms on the West Side, some people might refer you to Tap Savvy, a family-owned craft beer, wine, and bottle shop in Litchfield Park. Now it appears that the owners are bringing a similar concept to Avondale called Tap 2, which will be located at 745 N. 114th Ave. at the Randall McDaniel Sports Complex off I-10.
Owner Phillip Quintana told What Now Phoenix this week that like their first business, Tap 2 will also be a wine and beer taproom. The plan is to open Tap 2 in phases, the first of which will begin this spring. In phase one, customers will get to enjoy select brews and pours in Tap 2’s lounge, which will offer a relaxed environment to unwind and enjoy great times with friends and family.
In phase two, which is likely to happen this summer, they will integrate their kitchen service and begin serving a full menu of delicious bites to complement the beverages. Though Tap 2 is sort of an offshoot to Tap Savvy, the Quintanas intend both establishments to hold their own reputations on this side of the Valley. Keep an eye out for Tap 2 next month.
