This is the first of many new locations coming to the state. Franchise owner Lar Lazola tells What Now Phoenix she expects to open this location in the Summer of 2023, hopefully by the third quarter of the year. Following this, she plans to open two more Great Greek locations over the next two years. Another franchise owner is preparing to open new five new locations throughout Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek, and Mesa. The company is also making its debut in Oregon and Washington later this year.

The Great Greek is not slowing down its expansion plans anytime soon. It recently announced 13 new locations planned to open in five states, including three new locations planned for the Las Vegas Valley. This is part of a massive development plan, with the company opening 280 locations in the next several years, including 20+ restaurants in 2023. The Great Greek has over 50 locations in active development to expand its footprint further in states like Maryland, California, and Texas. All locations will serve healthy Mediterranean entrees and sides, such as gyros, rice bowls, and hummus.

“The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill has established itself as a leader in the increasingly popular Mediterranean food category, offering consumers an elevated experience while still being an accessible and convenient option,” said Bob Andersen, President of The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, in a press release. “Our accelerated growth is a testament to the quality of our product and the operational excellence of our franchise owners, and we look forward to serving more communities this year and beyond.”
