The Red Chickz, a Los Angeles-based fast casual hot chicken restaurant founded by Shawn Lalehzarian, is looking to expand into at least 10 different locations in Arizona.
This expansion comes as something of an explosion for the company. As of now, they only have one location in Downtown Los Angeles, with another opening in Culver City later this fall.
Within the next 18 months, they hope to add 40 more in California, 25 in Texas, and another 10 in Nevada in addition to the forthcoming Arizona locations.
The company, which gained popularity while amassing nearly 1 million Tik Tok followers, has a focus on Nashville hot chicken that was inspired by a trip Lalehzarian took out there.
According to recent reporting by Restaurant News, Lalehzarian headed out to Nashville to immerse himself in the culture before developing his own recipe to bring back to LA.
The restaurant puts a West Coast spin on the Southern favorite with staples like the Nashville hot chicken sandwiches available in six different spice levels. Diners can also look for more unconventional items like hot chicken and French toast.
