Formerly known as The Lounge Social House, from when they inhabited a spot in Tempe, owner, and manager Rod Smith is reinventing his dream space into The Social House. Although it’s mostly a lounge restaurant at the moment, Smith has big plans for their opening in March or April.

“We’re excited; we’re going to have a lunch menu, a great happy hour,” he told What Now Phoenix. “There are going to be 15 TVs. It’s going to be great to watch the games; it’s going to be great to hang out. We’re going to be different every night with a date night, a really big karaoke space, some comedy nights, it’s a really grown-up atmosphere, [especially] now that our space is a little wider open, with a full patio, parking lot, and right off the freeway, we’re excited. Every day when you come in, it’s going to be something different that night. And we’ll have brunches on the weekends.”

Smith knows how to entertain, having run his promotional company BMW Entertainment for ten years, producing concerts and events. “When I had the opportunity to have my own spot, have my home base to curate,” he elaborated, “I fell in love with it. Creating these new lounge restaurant concepts has become my hobby.”
