The ALDI business model is intentionally different. Tempe shoppers can experience the ALDI difference themselves when the new Tempe store opens Thursday, June 15 at 8:00 a.m. The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The first 100 customers will receive a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card during the opening weekend from June 15 through June 18.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for six years running,” said Tom Cindel, Moreno Valley regional vice president for ALDI in a statement. “We’re excited to open our first ALDI store in Tempe and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”

ALDI is partnering with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) to help find a cure for childhood cancer. With each limited-time ALSF-branded bag of lemons purchased throughout June, ALDI will donate 50 cents to ALSF, up to $1 million.

The new ALDI in Tempe is located at 1715 E Southern Ave, Tempe, AZ 85282.
